Frequently asked questions

Answers to common questions about MyrieTuition programmes, lessons and enrolment.

Which programmes are available?

MyrieTuition offers two programmes: Eight-Week GCSE Science Exam Support and structured daytime Science teaching for home-educated students.

Who are the programmes for?

Exam Support is for Year 10 and 11 students following AQA Combined Science or AQA Separate Sciences.

Home Education Science is for Year 10 and 11 home-educated students working towards Combined Science through AQA, Pearson Edexcel or OCR. Additional teaching for separate GCSE Biology, Chemistry and Physics may also be arranged according to student needs and group demand.

Who teaches the lessons?

Semone personally teaches every lesson. You can learn more about her experience and approach on the About Semone page.

How long are the lessons and how large are the groups?

Lessons are 75 minutes long and take place online. Each group has a maximum of eight students.

What happens between lessons?

Students receive focused preparation, revision or consolidation activities. These reinforce learning and help students develop more effective independent-study habits.

Do students have to use their camera?

No. Students are not required to activate their cameras. They can participate through voice, chat and other agreed lesson tools according to their confidence and needs.

Are lessons recorded?

Yes. Live lessons are recorded for safeguarding, quality assurance and the appropriate investigation of concerns or complaints. Families are informed before enrolment and when recording begins. Recordings are normally deleted after 30 days and are not used for promotional purposes.

How much do the programmes cost?

Eight-Week Exam Support costs £240 for the complete programme, with two payments of £120 available. Home Education Science costs £120 per four-week block.
