These Terms and Conditions apply to tuition provided by MyrieTuition, operated by Semone Vige.
By enrolling a student and paying for a programme, the parent or carer confirms that they have read and accepted these terms.

Tuition services
MyrieTuition currently provides live online GCSE Science teaching, including:
-
8-Week Exam Support.
-
Home Education Science in four-week teaching blocks.
-
Related assessments, learning materials, guided study and academic support described on the website or in enrolment information.
Lessons are normally 75 minutes long and are taught in small groups. Programme content, dates, times, fees and any required preparation will be confirmed before enrolment.
MyrieTuition may reasonably adjust the order or emphasis of programme content in response to students’ needs, progress or changes in examination requirements. Any change will preserve the overall nature and value of the programme purchased.
Enrolment
A place is confirmed only when:
-
The necessary enrolment information has been provided.
-
MyrieTuition has confirmed that the programme is suitable and a place is available.
-
The required payment has been received.
-
The parent or carer has accepted these Terms and Conditions, the Privacy Policy, the Safeguarding Policy and the lesson-recording arrangements.
Parents and carers must ensure that enrolment information is accurate and must inform MyrieTuition of any relevant change.
MyrieTuition may decline an enrolment where the programme is not considered suitable, the relevant group is full or the student’s needs cannot reasonably be met within the service being offered.
Fees and payment
Fees are displayed on the website or confirmed in writing before enrolment.
The Eight-Week Exam Support programme is purchased as one complete eight-week course. Where two instalments are offered, this is a payment arrangement for the complete course rather than two separate four-week bookings.
Home Education Science is purchased in four-week blocks unless otherwise agreed in writing. A place in a later block is not guaranteed until that block has been offered and payment has been received.
Payments must be made by the date shown on the invoice or payment request. Failure to make payment may result in the place being released or tuition being suspended.
No additional charge will be made without the parent or carer’s agreement.
Fourteen-day cancellation right
Where a programme is purchased online, by email or by telephone, parents and carers will normally have a legal right to cancel within 14 days of the contract being formed, without giving a reason.
To cancel, email info@myrietuition.com with the parent or carer’s name, the student’s first name and details of the programme.
Where tuition is due to begin within the 14-day cancellation period, the parent or carer must expressly request that the service begins early.
If tuition has begun at the parent or carer’s request and they then cancel during the 14-day period, MyrieTuition may deduct a reasonable amount for tuition and other services already provided.
The statutory cancellation right may end once a service has been fully performed, where the parent or carer expressly requested early performance and acknowledged that the cancellation right would be lost once the service was completed.
These terms do not affect any statutory consumer rights.
Cancellation after the cooling-off period
Parents and carers may request cancellation by emailing info@myrietuition.com.
Before a programme or block begins
Where cancellation is received at least seven days before the scheduled start date, payments for tuition not yet provided will normally be refunded in full.
Where cancellation is received less than seven days before the start date, MyrieTuition may retain or deduct only reasonable losses directly resulting from the cancellation. This may include costs already incurred or the loss associated with a reserved place that cannot reasonably be filled.
MyrieTuition will take reasonable steps to offer the place to another student and will not charge more than the actual loss caused by the cancellation.

After a programme or block has begun
Where a student withdraws after a programme or four-week block has started, any refund will take account of:
-
Lessons and services already provided.
-
Materials or assessments already supplied.
-
Reasonable costs already incurred.
-
Any direct loss caused by reserving a place that cannot reasonably be filled.
The student will not automatically lose all advance payments. Any amount retained will be reasonable and proportionate to the circumstances.
Missed lessons
Group lessons take place at fixed times and cannot normally be rearranged for one student.
No refund is normally provided where a student:
-
Misses a scheduled lesson.
-
Arrives late.
-
Leaves early.
-
Chooses not to participate.
-
Cannot attend because of a personal commitment.
-
Experiences a technical problem with their own equipment or internet connection.
Where appropriate, lesson materials or guidance may be provided to help the student catch up. Lesson recordings will not routinely be distributed because they may contain other students’ personal information.
Parents should contact MyrieTuition as soon as reasonably possible if illness, emergency or exceptional circumstances prevent attendance. Support or a discretionary arrangement may be considered, but cannot be guaranteed.
Cancellation or disruption by MyrieTuition
If MyrieTuition cannot provide a scheduled lesson, the lesson will normally be rearranged.
Where a suitable replacement lesson cannot be offered, the parent or carer will receive a proportionate refund for the lesson not provided.
If a programme cannot proceed because there are insufficient enrolments or for another operational reason,
MyrieTuition may offer:
-
An alternative start date or group.
-
A credit towards another suitable programme.
-
A refund for any tuition that will not be provided.
Parents and carers will not be required to accept a credit or alternative programme instead of a refund where a refund is legally due.
Technology requirements
Parents and carers are responsible for providing:
-
A suitable computer or tablet.
-
A stable internet connection.
-
Working audio facilities.
-
Access to the agreed online teaching platform.
-
A suitable environment in which the student can participate.
Students should test their equipment before the first lesson and join lessons promptly.
If a substantial technical failure within MyrieTuition’s control prevents a lesson from being delivered, the lesson will be rearranged or refunded proportionately.
Online safety and parental responsibility
Parents and carers remain responsible for the student’s welfare and supervision while the student participates from home.
Parents and carers must:
-
Know the scheduled lesson times.
-
Provide an accurate adult emergency contact.
-
Remain reasonably contactable during lessons.
-
Ensure that the student participates from an appropriate environment.
-
Inform MyrieTuition of relevant learning, accessibility, health or safeguarding information needed to support the student safely.

Students are not required to activate their cameras.
Further information is provided in the MyrieTuition Safeguarding Policy.
Lesson recordings
Live lessons are recorded for safeguarding, quality assurance and the appropriate investigation of concerns or complaints.
A student’s display name, voice, written contributions or image may be captured when they participate. Cameras are optional.
Recordings:
-
Are stored securely.
-
Are not published or used for advertising.
-
Are not routinely shared with students or other families.
-
Are normally deleted after 30 days.
-
May be retained for longer where a safeguarding concern, complaint or legal matter requires it.
Students and parents must not independently record, photograph, copy or distribute lessons without prior written permission.
Further information is provided in the Privacy Policy and Safeguarding Policy.
Communication
Students may communicate directly with Semone during scheduled lessons.
Outside lessons, individual communication must take place through the parent or carer’s registered email address or telephone number.
Students must not contact Semone through private social-media accounts, personal telephone numbers or personal messaging services.
Any additional individual support or meeting must be arranged through the parent or carer in advance.
Student conduct
Students are expected to:
-
Behave respectfully towards the tutor and other students.
-
Use appropriate language.
-
Avoid disrupting the lesson.
-
Protect the privacy of everyone participating.
-
Follow reasonable instructions connected with learning and online safety.
-
Avoid sharing lesson links or access details with other people.
MyrieTuition will normally discuss behavioural concerns with the parent or carer and allow a reasonable opportunity for improvement.
Where behaviour is seriously disruptive, abusive, discriminatory, unsafe or compromises another student’s privacy, the student may be removed from the lesson or the programme.
Any decision to terminate tuition will be proportionate. Fees for services not provided will be handled fairly, taking account of services already supplied and any reasonable loss caused by the breach.
Teaching materials and intellectual property
Teaching materials supplied by MyrieTuition are for the enrolled student’s personal educational use.
Unless expressly permitted, students and parents must not:
-
Upload materials publicly.
-
Sell, reproduce or redistribute them.
-
Share them with people outside the enrolled household.
-
Remove branding or copyright information.
-
Record or distribute lesson content.
Ownership of MyrieTuition’s original teaching materials remains with MyrieTuition. Materials belonging to examination boards, publishers or online platforms remain the property of their respective owners and are subject to their own terms.
Educational outcomes
MyrieTuition will provide tuition with reasonable care and skill.
Student progress also depends on attendance, participation, completion of independent work, prior knowledge and other factors outside MyrieTuition’s control. No particular examination grade, level of progress or educational outcome can be guaranteed.
Parents and carers remain responsible for examination entry, access arrangements and ensuring that the student meets any requirements of their school, examination centre or awarding organisation unless MyrieTuition expressly agrees otherwise in writing.
Complaints
Concerns should initially be sent to info@myrietuition.com with sufficient information for the matter to be understood and investigated.
MyrieTuition will acknowledge the concern and aim to provide a substantive response within a reasonable period.
Safeguarding concerns will be handled under the Safeguarding Policy and may be referred to an appropriate external authority.
Liability and consumer rights
Nothing in these terms excludes or restricts liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or services that are not provided with reasonable care and skill.
MyrieTuition is not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was formed or for disruption caused by matters genuinely outside its reasonable control. This does not remove the parent or carer’s statutory rights.
Changes to these terms
MyrieTuition may update these terms when services, technology, legal requirements or working arrangements change.
The terms applying to a booking will normally be those accepted when the booking was confirmed. A material change affecting an existing booking will be communicated to the parent or carer and will not unfairly reduce their rights.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Parents and carers retain any mandatory consumer rights applicable where they live.
