Biology, Chemistry & Physics

One programme brings the three Science disciplines together within a coherent Combined Science pathway.

Structured progression

Teaching follows a coherent sequence, helping students build knowledge and connect ideas across different topics.

Foundations for future study

Suitable for students building GCSE confidence and those considering A-level Science or a future STEM pathway.

Combined Science is worth two GCSEs. Additional teaching towards separate GCSEs in Biology, Chemistry and Physics will be offered according to student needs and group demand.

How weekly teaching works

1. Starting point

Before joining, I discuss the student’s current studies, confidence, examination board, intended qualifications and learning needs with their parent or carer.

2. Weekly live teaching

Each 75-minute lesson combines clear explanation, retrieval, structured practice and opportunities to ask questions.

3. Guided independent study

Focused preparation and consolidation tasks help students continue learning between their weekly lessons.

4. Responsive progression

Teaching responds to students’ understanding and misconceptions while maintaining coherent progression through their chosen specification.

Daytime groups are available on Thursdays and Fridays.
